Change of topics here is my northbridge heatsink on mine. Here’s the setup shown below. The third time the shop offered me the choice to swap it with an Abit kt7a raid K7T Turbo board, which had abit kt7a raid much the same specs. They’re also very stable if you set them up correctly. Beyond that I would recommend a stronger PSU. I know it’s far too late for troubleshooting this now, but I have a couple of theories about the problems you experienced.

There were a couple of bulging capacitors on the motherboard but I’ve already replaced them. Find other tech abit kt7a raid computer products like this over at Amazon Canada’s website. I’ve also bought two sticks of Mb PC Micron memory modules.

I imagine it must be terribly noisy with the two blowers. The only one of my KT7A boards that ever gave me problems was my original v1. Others have also had issues with that abit kt7a raid. Like you, I replaced the northbridge coolers on all of my boards.
